Bonaire has been a special municipality of the Netherlands since 2010. The island has its own local government but falls under the Dutch Caribbean Netherlands Government Service for national affairs. Below are the most important government websites.

Tourism and travel information

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) is the official tourism board of the island. They promote Bonaire internationally and provide travel information for visitors.

Taxes and mandatory contributions

As a tourist on Bonaire, you pay two mandatory fees: the tourist tax upon arrival and the Nature Fee if you want to dive or snorkel. Both have their own payment portal.

STINAPA (Stichting Nationale Parken Bonaire) manages all protected nature and marine areas on the island, including the Bonaire National Marine Park and Washington Slagbaai National Park.
