About night diving on Bonaire

When the sun sets, Bonaire's underwater world transforms completely. Octopuses emerge to hunt, parrotfish sleep in mucus cocoons, and lobsters venture from their hiding spots. Corals extend their feeding polyps and bioluminescent plankton can light up the water. Town Pier is the most popular night diving spot - massive tarpon schools swim between the pillars here. Something Special and the coastlines around Kralendijk also offer excellent night diving. The clear water (visibility often 20+ meters) and warm temperatures make night diving particularly comfortable here. Always dive with an experienced buddy and bring at least two lights.
